Guide for Authors

Introduction

This Style Guide is organized in three sections based on Paragraphs 3-5 of the Regulations of Scientific Journals, ratified April 22, 2019, by Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, notified with No. 28625685/11 on April 29, 2019, and also based on Paragraphs 3- 4 of the Style Guide of Scientific Journals Evaluation and Ranking, ratified August 24, 2019, notified with No. 11/134796 on September 1, 2019, of that reference. The first section addresses the general criteria. The second section offers the criteria for article writing. Finally, the third section describes the structure of quarterly articles.

 

1) General Criteria

• The "Journal of Research and Development in Private Law" is issued once every three months, preferably in a certain field, including articles on the subject of law.

• Only through the http://jcl.illrc.ac.ir/ System is it possible to submit and track articles. Consequently, a copy of the article should not be sent to the fourth office in writing or sent by E-mail.

Note! The registration guide in the system must be read carefully before submitting an article.

• Early acceptance of an article must comply with the editing standards. Final acceptance is subject to review and release (using paragraphs 4-5 of Scientific Journals Regulations, ratified by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology). In any case, via the journal method, it will be released to the author (paragraph 7-1-4 of the regulations of scientific journals).

The author or authors of the articles shall sign, together with the article, and submit to the publication system, a guarantee for the accuracy of the details and compliance with scientific ethics (paragraph 6-8 of the regulations of scientific publications).

The articles submitted prior to any action shall first be examined for plagiarism using software or other search methods. If the guarantee is duplicated or fails to comply, the author shall be notified the author (paragraphs 6-8 and 7-1-10 of the regulations of scientific journals).

The author assigns copyright to the publication by presenting the article to the Journal of Research and Development in Private Law.

• "The Quarterly" has authority to accept, decline and edit articles.

• Articles received shall not be refunded once the arbitration has been referred.

 

2) Criteria and structure of writing an article

The following is the content, form and structural criteria for the article:

 

2-1- Content criteria

• In areas pertaining to the quarterly topic (law), the article should be written (paragraph 7 of the "Style Guide" to the "Evaluation and Ranking of Scientific Journals" and paragraph 7-1-15 of the regulations of scientific journals).

• The report should be revised and innovative on legal issues (paragraph 8 of the "Style Guide" to the "Evaluation and Ranking of Scientific Journals").

• The article shall be subject to one of the nine kinds of scientific papers mentioned under paragraph 2-5 of the 'Minister of Education, Research and Technology' "Style Guide" of the 'Evaluation and Rating of Scientific Journals.'

• The paper should not have been written or submitted concurrently in either domestic or international Journal beforehand.

• If the paper is created for the university or institute's study budget, the institution's name should be noted in the review section (paragraph 3-4 - Style Guide of evaluation and ranking of scientific journals).

• If the article is translated, it is acceptable that the original text is submitted along with the translation, the author introduction and the original sourcebook or Journal.

 

2-2- Formal criteria

• Make sure you send the file using Word 2010 or above.

• Articles should not be more than 25 pages in volume (8,000 words).

• Persian calligraphy approved by the Persian Language and Literature Academy is required to be observed.

• The footnote should include a Latin form of particular names, English or French equivalents of specific terms and explanatory notes (explanations deemed necessary by the authors).

• Direct quotations and quotation marks with different fonts.

 

2-3-Structure of Article (paragraph 4 Style Guide of evaluation and ranking of scientific journals)

Each research article has its general structure as follows:

2-3-1- Title page

The first page should contain the title of the article, the author's name, abstracts and keywords (paragraph 3-4- of "Style Guide" of "evaluation and ranking of scientific journals" and paragraph 7-1-12 of the "regulations of scientific journals").

2-3-2- Article Title

• The article title is indicated on each article's first page. The title of this article should be in Persian, English and French (paragraph 3-4 of the method of "evaluation and ranking of scientific journals")

• The title of the article should be correct and as brief as possible, so as to interest the reader in the reading of the article.

2-3-3- Author(s)

The name of the author should be written by priority after the title. Both writers may write their names in alphabetical order while they are equally active. The title can be stopped, such as a physician, professor, engineer and the like. The author(s) of the article should be mentioned in a footnote in the original English on the first page, with their academic level, affiliation and e-mail address. The liable author should be listed if the article contains multiple contributors (Style Guide of Evaluation and Ranking of Scientific Journals, page 8, row 3).

2-3-4- Abstract

• The abstract word number is up to 300 words.

• The first page, after the name of the author, should be given the abstract.

• The abstract should be translated into French or English (paragraph 4 below paragraph 3-4 of the Style Guide of evaluation and ranking of scientific journals).

2-3-5- Keywords

• Each article should have 4-7 keywords (paragraph 3-4 of the Style Guide of evaluation and ranking of scientific journals).

2-3-6- Introduction

• The article introduction shows a problem with research. The investigator should summarise the research background and its connection with the topic and its differences and finally indicate the motivation for research (paragraph 4 below paragraph 3-4 of the Style Guide of evaluation and ranking of scientific journals).

• The method of work represents the process of research. Introducing the analyses, methods used, and how the results are extracted should be adequately remembered (paragraph 4 below paragraph 3-4 of the Style Guide of evaluation and ranking of scientific journals).

2-3-7- The main body of the article

• The main section of the article provides a detailed response to research questions.

• If the researcher is sure that the research problem has been resolved or is near the response, the researcher should begin writing the article body.

• Scientific information shall be documented by credible or reasoned sources in the text of an article. An "unwelcome guest (interloper)" in the article is a statement that is not documented and not reasoned. Thus, when reading the article, the author should delete or correct the statements he doubts are correct.

• The main section of the article provides a detailed response to research questions.

• If the researcher is sure that the research problem has been resolved or is near the response, the researcher should begin writing the article body.

• Scientific information shall be documented by credible or reasoned sources in the text of an article. An "unwelcome guest (interloper)" in the article is a statement that is not documented and not reasoned. Thus, when reading the article, the author should delete or correct the statements he doubts are correct.

• In the article, the identification of the inner axes and titles helps to reinforce the relationship between different parts and to make the text of the article clear. Thus, the less time you spend the reader, the more the article's content embraces them.

• The article text should contain references in the text and parentheses as (the name of the author, the publishing year: page number, or the number/page of the cover). In point 6 below paragraph 3-4 of the guide, the rankings of scientifical journals and paragraph 7-1-13 of scientific journals' regulations must be observed according to the right principles of citation.

• If the next reference is to the same source immediately, use (ibid, or ibid: cover page/number) (id, year of publication: page).

• The phrase (former: page) will be used if the reference to the previous source is spaced.

• Latin sources should be written in parentheses (page/volume: publication year, surname) both in Latin and from the left. The Style Guide for the evaluation and ranking of scientific journals and paragraphs 7-1-13 must follow the correct quotation principles, as laid down in paragraph 6 below, point 3-4, from the scientific journal regulations.

2-3-8- Result

• In the conclusion section, the results of the research are indicated without indicating evidence (paragraph 4 under paragraph 3-4 of the Style Guide of evaluation and ranking of scientific journals).

2-3-9- Acknowledgement

If required, all people or organizations involved in collecting materials with financial or technical assistance should be appreciated (paragraph 3-4- of the Style Guide of evaluation and ranking of scientific journals).

2-3-10- References

At the end of the paper, the method to compile the list of references is as follows. Paragraph 6 of the Guide to the Style Assessment and Classifying of Scientific Journals, paragraph 3-4 and paragraph 7-1-1 of the scientific journals' Rules, specifies that the proper principles for compiling the list of references must be complied with.

References should be presented both in Persian and English and in French. "Style Guide of Evaluation and Ranking of Scientific Journals" page 8, row 6.

A- Persian references:

Book: author's family name, author's name, year of publication, book title, translator or proofreader's name, place of publication, publisher's name.

Example: Ja'fari Langeroudi, M.J., Basis in Civil Law (Al-Modavan), Tehran: Ganj-e Danesh, 2008.

Article: Author's family name, author's name, article title in quotation marks, Journal's name, Volume, Number, start to end pages.

Example: Katouzian, N., "The place of Islamic law in the legal order", Journal of the former Faculty of Law and Political Science, No. 36, Spring 1997, pp. 41-62.

Electronic references: Author's family name, author's name, article title, name of journal or website, accessible website address, last visit date.

B- Foreign references:

Arabic books: Author's family name, author's name, year of publication, book title, translator or proofreader's name, place of publication, publisher's name

Example: Ansari, M., Makaseb, research and introduction by Seyyed Mohammad Kalantar, Najaf, Al-Adab Press, Offset, Dar al-Kitab, Qom, (n.d.)

Latin references:

1- Book:

3) Copyright and Publishing Rights

As "Research and Development in Private Law" is an Open Access journal, by submitting their manuscript, authors agree that upon acceptance and publication, the copyright and all publishing rights of the article are transferred exclusively to the Journal. However, authors retain the right to use the content of their work for non-commercial purposes, provided that the original publication is properly cited and credited. All articles are published under the [CC BY-NC] license.
